Lifeguarding



Guarding information:

  • if more than 10 children under the age of 13, two guards are suggested.
  • if more than 14 children under the age of 13, two guards are required.
  • Requirement may be lifted in circumstances of high parental supervision.
  • A travel fee may be charged for lifeguarding outside of our travel boundaries

Lesson Booking Information:

  • Lessons are available in 30 minute or 1 hour time intervals from 8 am until 6 pm.
  • Lessons are available: daily, weekly and bi-weekly.
  • Completion of a level(from Parent and Tot-Adult 301) requires minimum 8 half hour lessons; if lessons are daily we suggest 10 half hour lessons for level completion. Rookie, Ranger and star require 6-8 hours of lessons.
  • For courses higher than level Star Patrol, group lessons are available but not necessary.
  • Group crash courses are available for Bronze Star, Bronze Medallion, and Bronze Cross

  • Please Note that Sundays are reserved for make-up lessons and Lifeguarding ONLY.
*Please note that LearnSwim provides swimming lessons that are eligible for the Government of Canada Children's Fitness Tax Credit. The Government of Canada allows a non-refundable tax credit based on eligible fitness expenses paid by parents to register a child in a prescribed program of physical activity.
